Marci Zimmerman, Owner & Founder
Marci Zimmerman built a career in corporate marketing for the hospitality industry; then focused 10 years on development in the non-profit world, before venturing out on her own to launch Delete, the first free standing salon specializing in laser tattoo removal.
A natural born leader, Zimmerman grew up in St. Louis, attended the University of Missouri, earning a bachelor's degree in business administration. She began her career with Marriott International as a director of sales and worked there for a decade before becoming executive director of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation's Desert Southwest Chapter.
During her eight years as executive director she achieved an annual growth rate of 26.9 percent, expanding fundraising efforts and earning national recognition for the chapter headquartered in Phoenix. She then moved on to JDRF's national office, as the director of National Partnership Development, where she designed a business development model that was projected to double the national fund development portfolio from $20 million to $40 million in three years.
Recognizing the trend of 18- to 30 somethings sporting tattoos; Zimmerman projected the need for tattoo removal as the generation matured. In late spring 2010 she signed the lease for the first Delete Tattoo Removal & Laser Salon in Phoenix at 16th Street and Bethany Home Road, with plans to open additional locations in the next three years.
Zimmerman dedicates her time as a committee member of the Fiesta Bowl and actively participates as a member of the Brophy College Preparatory Mother's Guild. Zimmerman resides in Phoenix with her three children.
