Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT)
Using multiple microscopic needles to penetrate the surface layers of skin, Collagen Induction Therapy tightens, lifts, and rejuvenates skin by naturally stimulating collagen production. CIT is a holistic approach to skin therapy. Your physiological wound response stimulates new healthy dermal and epidermal tissue growth. Using multiple microscopic needles to penetrate the surface layers of skin, CIT creates very small wound patterns and promotes healing to reduce fine lines, wrinkles, crow’s feet, lip lines and rosacea. No laser heat is introduced. So unlike fractional laser treatments, IPL, and laser resurfacing, there is minimal downtime, minimal discomfort, and an almost immediate outcome.
This treatment protocol provides dramatic results in wrinkle and fine line reduction, pore size reduction, scar and acne scar, pigmentation and stretch mark reduction. Some patients need only one treatment to see visible results. Though, most will need several treatments spaced 6-8 weeks apart, dependent on the condition to be treated and the desired outcome. Power Peels combine state-of-the-art laser technology with PCA professional skin care products to remove pigment and fine lines and stimulate collagen to give your skin its once youthful glow. Innovative and proven light-to-medium-depth peel formulas are combined to effectively exfoliate with blends of lactic, citric and salicylic acids and resorcinol, while bleaching and inhibiting pigment production with kojic acid and hydroquinone.
Scar Remodeling & Stretch Mark Reduction
In response to patients who would like to minimize the appearance of scars left by tattoo artists, Delete - Tattoo Removal & Laser Salon is now offering Collagen Induction therapy (CIT) that can be combined with your laser tattoo removal treatment to speed the clearing of ink while promoting collagen reproduction and healthier skin. Collagen Induction Therapy promotes scar-less healing similar to fractional laser treatments, IPL, laser resurfacing, and chemical peels, but without the side effects and downtime.
Micropen Scar Remodeling® is a new natural innovation to skin therapy. Your physiological wound response stimulates new healthy dermal and epidermal tissue growth. Using multiple microscopic needles to penetrate the surface layers of skin, CIT creates very small wound patterns to break old scar tissue and accelerate the healing process to smooth the appearance of scars, and stretch marks. There is no additional downtime, no discomfort, and an almost immediate outcome.
The initial treatment promotes the chemotaxis response and proliferation of fibroblasts. The body’s platelets also respond to initiate a wound matrix. This response is the early phase of cell migration to remove ink, debris and bacteria. New fibroblasts, monocytes, keratinocytes will continue to proliferate and multiply. New collagen will be laid down and deposited with new tissue formation. Next, a fibrotic response (5-20 days later) of growth factors are released as well as the release of fibroblasts to create collagen. Finally, the maturation stage of new healthy skin takes place from day 28 to two years after treatment.
Collagen Induction Therapy is also considered the most effective way to treat stretch marks. The skin underneath stretch marks lack sufficient collagen. Because the epidermis and dermis layers do in fact remain intact throughout the process, the collagen produced in response to the micro-needling treatment simply aids the thickening of the dermis layer of skin. By increasing this thickness the stretch marks firstly fade away, and eventually, disappear altogether.
While everyone will see improvements in the appearance of stretch marks, the speed of results will differ from one individual to the next and improve with the number of treatments received. Stretch marks will continue to dissipate for up to a year after each scar remodeling treatment.
Acne & Chicken Pox Scar Reduction
Typically discolored and indented because of collagen loss from intense inflammation, acne and chicken pox scars can be reduced with a series of 4-6 treatments combining Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT) & advanced PCA Chemical Peels®. Your skin naturally heals itself every 45 days, so results can be seen within just a few weeks. One of the most exciting advantages of this treatment is that it can be used on dark and light skin types.
Before the procedure, a numbing cream is applied to the area to be treated greatly minimizing any discomfort. It usually requires 4-6 treatments, depending on the condition being treated. As the Micropen, holding 11 titanium sterile needles, stamps over the skin, it creates micro point punctures in the skin. This is perceived by the body as damage, which stimulates the body’s healing response to stimulate the release of growth factors that trigger the production of collagen and elastin. Recovery time is minimal. Following the treatment, the area treated will be red, swollen and irritated. The redness can last three to five days. After 24 hours you can wear makeup to cover the area.
Your follow-up PCA Chemical Peel in 1-2 weeks following Collagen Induction Therapy will be customized to accelerate collagen reproduction by removing old skin cells from both the outer layer of skin (epidermis) and upper part of your middle layer of skin (dermis). TCA (trichloroacetic acid), sometimes used in combination with glycolic acid will achieve optimal results.
This treatment protocol provides dramatic results in wrinkle and fine line reduction, pore size reduction, scar and acne scar reduction, pigmentation and stretch mark reduction.
