Tattoo and parenting fail: 11-year-old gets tattoo from mom

Tattoos are often seen as a sign of rebellion, and with the amount of young people who come to our salon for tattoo removal, believe us when we say – that ain’t no lie!

This, however, is a whole new level of young tattoo regret.

The Story

Tattoo Fail Odessa Clay

The tale is fairly simple (we should clarify: when we say the story is simple, we don’t mean that it makes sense).

Here goes – an 11-year-old in North Carolina asked her mom for a tattoo, and the mother gave her one. Yep.

Apparently the mom was unaware that it is illegal to tattoo a minor. She’s also probably unaware of the fact that tweens should not be granted decision-making power that can in any way permanently mark their bodies. But maybe that’s just us!

What do you think? Do you agree with us that this mom is off her rocker, or do you think her behavior was justified? Leave your two cents in the comments!
