We’re all familiar with the old saying ’till death do us part.’ It’s a staple of weddings and the promises that the bride and groom make to each other. Divorce seems to be more common than marriage nowadays, though! Such is the case of Katy Perry and Russell Brand ? their tattoos barely outlived their marriage.
The ex-couple went and inked themselves with matching tattoos on their right inner arms. The tattoos reportedly read, ‘Anuugacchati Pravaha” meaning ‘go with the flow.’ Unfortunately, celebrity-sanskrit-tattoos are as error prone as celebrity marriages.
The Huffington Post recounts their story: both stars got their tattoos shortly after they became engaged in 2010. Even though it probably seemed like a cool idea at the time, soon it became a painful reminder of the past!
The Post went on to explain that Russell recently got his tat removed during a late-night trip to Shamrock Tattoo. Should your art imitate your life? The common consensus seems to be no! Think twice before you scrawl your lover’s name across your arm ? you never know how something is going to work out. Even if you have the upmost confidence in your relationship, an argument could arise before your ink even dries -and tattoo removal may be closer than you think!
